Northen Surveying Services has welcomed a new Quantity Surveying apprentice to the team.
Katie, fresh from completing A-Levels, will work in the business four days a week and spend the other day studying towards a Chartered Degree Apprenticeship BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying.
Katie attends the University of the West of England one day a week the course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Director Tara Northen said: “It’s been challenging adapting to online recruitment and onboarding during the pandemic, we are absolutely delighted we’ve found two talented young people to join our company. We’re looking forward to seeing them develop.”
She has have been getting to grips with the business in the past couple of months as she begins to learn on the job and get settled into work-life before university starts this week.
Katie said: “I am not 100 percent certain what my career ambition is. However, I do know for certain it lies within the construction industry. This role will enable me to build up knowledge, skills and responsibility whilst also gaining qualifications.”
