Katie attends in-person learning at UWE, while Hugh has chosen online learning with the University College of Estate Management (UCEM) both courses are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Director Tara Northen said: “It’s been challenging adapting to online recruitment and onboarding during the pandemic, we are absolutely delighted we’ve found two talented young people to join our company. We’re looking forward to seeing them develop.”
They have been getting to grips with the business in the past couple of months as they begin to learn on the job and get settled into work-life before university starts this week.
Katie said: “I am not 100 percent certain what my career ambition is. However, I do know for certain it lies within the construction industry. This role will enable me to build up knowledge, skills and responsibility whilst also gaining qualifications.”
Hugh added: “I knew I wanted to do something within the construction industry and saw an apprenticeship as the best way to get valuable work experience. Northen offered the chance to gain a degree with this, which is a great opportunity.”
