Northen Quantum is a company founded by our directors in 2020 with the purpose of training surveyors in Measurement skills, it is aimed at any person working in the construction industry that needs to know how to obtain accurate quantities and provide accurate descriptors in construction projects to help manage and mitigate risk.
Meet Northen Surveying Services’ latest recruit Jay Kannan, who joined the team back in February as an assistant quantity surveyor. He said: “Since starting, I’ve learned more about the UK’s construction methods and technologies, which are mostly different from India, and this will help my future knowledge.
As well as Alan supporting the property board, our fantastic team has volunteered to build pop-ups at various locations and served in the café over the years. Our newest recruit Jay volunteered during the first week and last Saturday Alan and Katie joined the Gympanzees team to deconstruct the pop-ups.
Northen Surveying Services as the business supports and celebrates neurodiversity. In 2019 NSS sponsored a University of Bristol Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship a student project exploring ways to improve local employment opportunities for young Autistic people. And now 4 years after the university project NSS Director Tara Northen is one of the founders of the CIC based on this research.
