As an appointed Expert Witness, Alan can provide accurate and specialised knowledge and opinion in relation to the quantification, measurement, and valuation of construction work to assist in legal cases and investigations. Alan is listed on the RICS Register of Expert Witnesses, has over 25 years of experience working in the construction industry, and specialises in the preparation of high-quality Bills of Quantities for contractors tendering for projects. He is a specialist in the quantification, measurement, and valuation of construction work. Alan is the lead author of New Rules of Measurement Volume 2 (detailed measurement for building works) 2nd Edition.
Alan has worked on the remeasuring of works for final accounts, variation control, as well as covering dispute avoidance and helping support the resolution of disputes in construction. Alan’s aim in these commissions is to avoid protracted disputes.
